How We Started
Mara Health was founded in 2022 by Dr. Alice McGee, who was driven by a passion for helping health tech innovators develop clinically relevant solutions. Our journey began with a simple idea: that the healthcare industry could benefit from a different kind of consultancy – one that’s dedicated to holistic solutions, innovation, and meaningful impact.
Our work leads to improved patient care, positive health outcomes and improved daily lives of those working in, and being treated by, the healthcare industry.
We have worked with many healthtech startups, scale-ups and large companies based across the globe, with clients from the UK, Europe, North America, Africa, and Australia. Our founder, Alice, has been a key speaker at several internationally recognised healthtech conferences.
OUR TEAM
Healthtech Experts On Board
We are an agile and trusted service provider in the health tech industry led by a strong team of medical doctors in digital health. We have two in-house clinical safety officers (CSOs) and one CSO in training. Our team bring expertise from several clinical specialties, including cardiology, surgery, public health, paediatrics, and obstetrics and gynaecology.
Mara Health’s leadership team has a strong and clinically credible background in healthtech product development, strategic planning, regulation and compliance, healthtech marketing, clinical safety and clinical evidence generation.
We were proud to appoint Dr. Gamith Adasuriya as our Operations Lead and Dr. Anne Cole as our Business Development Lead in 2023.
